Sena Abebe, full-stack developer, Addis Ababa
I design and build digital products that actually make sense.
Hey, I am Sena, a web developer based in Addis Ababa. My specialties are Go, TypeScript, and Next.js, but I like to dabble in a little bit of everything.
About
Who am I.
What do I do?
Most of my time is spent building backends in Go or designing UIs that don't look like they were made in 2005.
What I care about
I'm a fan of clean code and thoughtful design. I try to keep things simple and avoid overcomplicating problems just to look smart.
The promise
I build stuff that moves the needle. No fluff. If it doesn't add value, it's not getting built. It's as simple as that.
Currently building
Aeon
Aeon is an all-in-one student organization tool that keeps planning, tasks, and deadlines in one place. It will be available for public use in July.

Work
Selected works.
A selection of my best work. Products, developer tools, and the occasional terminal obsession.
Stack
What I work with.
Things I've spent thousands of hours on. I'm pretty good at these, and I'm working on many more.
Go
My go-to for high-performance backends. Fast, simple, and concurrent.
React
Building interfaces that don't make users want to quit the internet.
TypeScript
Because catching errors in production is a bad hobby.
Tailwind
Centering divs so you don't have to.
Next.js
The standard for when I need things to actually load fast.
Node.js
Scaling APIs with JavaScript when Go is overkill.
PostgreSQL
Reliable data storage for when integrity actually matters.
Figma
Where the pretty stuff happens before the code.
Python
Great for scripts, AI, and when I'm feeling lazy.
Neovim
Because the mouse is the enemy of productivity.
Docker
It works on my machine, and now yours too. Containerization is life.
Supabase
Firebase, but better because it's Postgres. Instant backend without the pain.
Journal
I also have a blog.
I write about code, design, and technical subjects that I find interesting. No philosophy here, just plain developer talk and things I've learned along the way.
